In 1948, The Lone Ranger Radio Program celebrated its 15th anniversary with one of the most spectacular radio premiums ever offered – The Lone Ranger Frontier Town.
Western buildings, that had to be cut out and assembled, came on the backs of Cheerios cereal boxes. Four sections, each with a map and additional buildings, had to be sent for separately with a dime and a Cheerios box top. For weeks, the radio program featured the Frontier Town and listeners could visualize the adventures of The Lone Ranger and Tonto as they “returned to those thrilling days of yesteryear!”
